Love this place. The common areas, the room, all perfect, clean, and decorated beautifully. The amenities were great, love the in room coffee bar, great bed, and for an older building, remarkable quiet. It was our first time visiting Lanesboro, and this place help to make the trip memorable. And the town, the people, and the area is well worth visiting and exploring. Gregg from the black hills
We stayed in this hotel previous to its recent renovation and we would have to say that the new owners have hit it out of the park! We stayed in the same room as before and it was so comfy as compared to pre-renovation. The bathroom/shower is fully renovated and a Keurig coffee maker is provided with a wide selection of pods. We love the easy check-in. It is very pleasant to sit next to the river and have a morning coffee. We will definitely be staying here again!
We had a wonderful time at Lanesboro Hotel this past week. Very easy check-in experience, plenty of information about the hotel/community/bike-trail as well as super quick response to any questions I had. The Merlot room (#9) was very period quaint on the main level and had a terrific bath/shower and other conveniences one would expect in this price range. We also utilized their secure bike storage, and the front door is around 50" from the trail......amazing! Very good food options for breakfast/lunch/dinner in town or along the trail towns. BTW, I left a Kindle in our room, and they responded to my request immediately and sound happy to assist with its safe return. All in all, I would definitely return to Lanesboro Hotel over other options in town.
Check-in via code worked great. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Had a good selection of coffee/tea pods. Location is great, right downtown. The main floor also has a nice area to congregate. Appreciated the bike storage shed. Since it was off season and mid week, there was plenty of room, but I'd imagine it gets full in the summer. Walls are thin and floors creak, so was glad we were on the upper floor. Fortunately, the other guests were very quiet, so no real issues with noise (except from trucks outside). My main complaint was the room temperature. There aren't individual room controls and our room was extremely warm at times. There seemed to be an issue with the HVAC causing it to heat more than normally. We were able to open the door to the fire escape to cool things down and the owners were responsive to our text and turned the heat off/down for a bit, but it was a bit of a battle to make the room comfortable.
This was our first stay here. The code entry to the hotel and our room worked great. We were in room 2, which was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Great selection of coffee too. The location is perfect for easy walking access to everything downtown. We would definitely stay here again.
Super easy access and entry. We entered into a beautiful commons area and found our room easily. Our room was gorgeous and clean. We loved that it was located right on the main street so we could walk everywhere. The welcome guide had some great restaurant suggestions and parking instructions too! The only downside was that it was warm out during our stay and our room was quite warm through our 2 night stay. The rooms are not individually temperature controlled (a tower fan is provided but didn't cool the room enough to sleep comfortably in our opinion).
LOVED this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect, and the room super cozy and immaculate. We appreciated the great variety of coffee and tea drinks, the mini-fridge, and the sweet and simple decor. We will stay here again next time we're in town.
This hotel is a beautiful historic building. We had room 7 and loved it. Comfortable bed and pillows and sheets. Good coffee and tea pod choices and plenty of them and cups (the bathroom water to fill for coffee was good). Very nice to have a refrig in the room. The bathroom had a nice size shower with a large shower head. Everything in the room was beautiful and upgraded and clean!!! The lady bugs do get through those older windows but the stayed there and or a few on the ceiling. We did have a view of the river. We are right by the bridge coming in and the traffic was heard but we had such a great time, it didn't seem to bother us. There is a large tv for those who need one. Keyless entry worked great!
